My wife is a chef, and although I had no experience making knives, I got an itch to make a knife for her to use in the kitchen. I completed a two-day knife-making class with Andreas over the course of a weekend. Instruction was one-to-one, so Andreas and I had a chance to discuss every step of the process of knife making including the design of the knife. Most of the equipment used for knife making was new to me, and Andreas took his time reviewing safe use of the equipment and I was able to take my time and get comfortable with the equipment. For my first two-day course in knife making, I was very satisfied with the finished product, but more importantly, my wife was very happy with the first knife I make for her. Andreas is a true craftsman and artist and an even better instructor. Learning from Andreas over the two days was an incredible experience and I’ll be signing up for additional classes to improve my skills in knife making.
