I’ve been fascinated by knives for as long as I can remember. Over the last couple of years, as I dove deeper into the craft, I discovered AK University and immediately felt it was the right fit. The location, the work, and even the cultural connection made it feel like the place I needed to be.

What stood out most was how hands-on the experience truly was. We went through the entire knife-making process from start to finish, and whenever I made a mistake, Andreas showed me exactly how to correct it. His patience and one-on-one guidance made a huge difference in how I learned.

The moment that really opened my eyes was bevel grinding. I never realized how much precision and control went into it until I tried it myself. Seeing everything finally come together on the second day was incredibly rewarding.
