I came into Andreas’s Beginner Knife Making Class coming from the 2D/Graphic design space, wanting to change my career path and having been curious about world of 3D art and design. This class not only exceeded expectations but also reaffirmed my passion for wanting to pursue knife making as a career.
Andreas not only addressed an immense amount of detail around the fundamentals of designing and making your own knife, but after learning more about my creative background and goals, he also addressed many helpful tips, tricks, and details about the logistical and financial side of setting up shop and starting my own knife making business.The structure of the course is extremely well organized, and I was so thankful for the amount of hands on training you have access to, with no interruptions, and full attention on the student as it’s a private, one on one experience with a master of the craft.I left class not overwhelmed, but with a very positive outlook, and with a sense of security in the fundamental knowledge I had gained to apply to my own practice. Getting started from scratch does not seem like the daunting task it was before attending the class, rather something that I have been equipped to handle. I feel that I now have the resources to make the process much easier than if i had not attended AKU.
Thanks Andreas! I will definitely be coming back for more classes in the future. I highly recommend trying this out.
